Mar Thoma College , Tiruvalla.

The college was founded in 1952 by the Mar Thoma Syrian Church. From a humble beginning with 250 students and 12 teachers, the college has grown into a premier educational Institution with 103 members in the  teaching staff and about 1500 student on the rolls today. The college accredited by NAAC in 1998 - the first college

to do so in Kerala ,

Attained the unique distinction of being the first re-accredited college in the Mahatma Gandhi University with A grade.

The department started in the year 1959 with B.sc physics course and at present is a post graduate and research department . The department has been organising National Seminars and conferences in the past years.
